Virtual MAP testing

Whatever dumba$$ decided we needed to do MAP testing virtually needs to sit here and actually administer the tests.

And then, my administrator (or this district) decided that Sped teachers don't need their own controls. So, I can't see how kids are progressing, I can't see what number they're on and best of all, if they get kicked off or have problems, I can't fix it. I need to wait for the teacher. So, I have kids who have been sitting here for 20 minutes waiting for the teacher (who's doing reading assessments with a kid and can't stop to deal with this).

My frustration level this week is at Mt. Vesuvius levels. I just can't even....

Virtual map testing is ridiculous in my opinion. Overall, I think a lot of scores will be unreliable.

Yep Ridiculous.

We have parents proctoring assessments at home. I have a non-English-speaking kindergartener who scored at the 3rd grade level in phonics.

I have students who don't know the word "the" earn the maximum score in high frequency words.

What a complete and utter waste of time.

OMG, we just had meetings today about our virtual standardized testing. I had trouble controlling my expressions. Virtual standardized testing -- what genius decided to do that?? Either half my class won't do that or else parents will decide to "help."

Either way, the scores will be meaningless, imo. And meanwhile, we lose a week of instruction trying to administer the tests from afar.

My district was all set to go with MAP testing this year when they decided we were not going to do student growth or evals they cancelled MAP testing.

Apparently the rest of special ed is still progress monitoring. I still have to do monthly pre and post tests and bench marks two to three times a year.

I have parents giving kids the answers while I am Zooming with the kid. No way would I trust them to asses. But that has been suggested.
