Rude awakening!

we were snoozing this morning, trying to sleep in, when we were startled awake to a loud crash! We thought the AC unit blew up right beside our bedroom window. We lost all power. We went outside. A tree from the wooded area fell. It took down the powerline, pole and transformer. We now have transformer goo leaking in the yard!
We are expecting 95 degrees today. My parents little house is also attached, and dad has serious health issues. Ugh! Pray they can fix it soon!

Oh my goodness! I'm so glad it didn't land on a house or car! Praying that power is restored very quickly! In the meantime, if you need to cool down, could you go for a drive (if your car has good AC)? Not a perfect solution, but could give you a break from the heat.

I hope you get it fixed soon! Maybe your house will stay cool if you pull all the shades and put on some fans.

That doesn’t sound good! Can you run to Lowe’s or Home Depot and get a small generator and window air conditioner?

Yikes! Does the fire station still offer cool down spots?

Hope you can navigate the day okay.

is here working. It will probably be this evening before they are done. Mom took dad to get some lunch. They are going to try to stay out riding as long as they can.
Unfortunately, we are also on a well so we do not have water. I am thankful I finished my college assignment last night! Not sure when internet will be back . I may have to do assignments from my Hotspot.

I am so happy that you have your electricity back and are cooling down. That was great work done by the company.
