Mattress Shopping

We bought a brand name pillow top mattress 10-11 years ago and now need to buy a new one. We are looking for suggestions.

Thought we'd really like to hear pro and cons from people before we don our mask, arm ourselves with hand sanitizer and start shopping in stores.

I hate mattress shopping and I actually like car shopping, haha. I find the two very similar.

My DD needed a new one, so I got one online from Tuft and Needle. It's a foam one that comes in a box. She's had it for 2 months and so far I really like it.

DH and I also needed a mattress, ours is 10 years old, and so I ordered one for us. It came in 2 days. I haven't set it up yet, but I am hoping it lasts. They are so comfortable and avoiding dealing with mattress stores is soooo worth it.

ETA: 10 years ago one of the issues was that brands weren't named the same at different sellers making it impossible to compare. I am not sure if that is still true.

our Sleep Number! I wish we could get one of the newer models, but there is not a thing wrong with the one we have now. It is coming up on 9 years old. I like that I can adjust it to what I need on any given night. Hubby can have his side however he likes!

Check out Nectar mattresses. It looks like they have a sale going on now too. I don't have personal experience, but they have a 365 day warranty.

Check out Costco.com. They deliver and take away your old mattress. And..you beat their return policy if you dont like it. Good luck!
