One week into break and I hope it never ends

I have been loving this fall break. I needed this R&R quite badly apparently. I am getting stuff done around the house, trying new recipes, and getting in my exercise every day. I am starting to think that I didn't work I would be the healthiest, most together person. Darn not being born independently wealthy .

That's so great! And it is true we would be happy without work, but after a few months it might start to get boring. I enjoy coming home after work every day precisely because work is so stressful! The breaks are extra special because they are such as relief. Keep enjoying yourself.

Retirement will come one day...

Your description of your break is my retirement. I have been able to get stuff done around the house, go to farmers markets and try recipes, and go to the gym 6 days a week. The time to do what I want and to not experience work stress and pressure is priceless to me. As for boredom, I can honestly say i don't know the meaning of that work, I don't have time. And I don't miss working one bit.

MASped-we had a modified year round year. We returned from summer the last week of July so its been 9 and a half weeks-stressful ones-the parents this year are going to put me in an early grave and the kids are some of the hardest I have ever had to make even the smallest progress.

We get another week off at TG, then 2 for the winter holidays, then 2 in March before our little 7 week summer rolls around. The summer is short, but I dont think I'd have it any other way. after the first 9 I feel due for a break!

Our Fall Break is the week after next. We've been in school since Aug. 2nd, so I am looking forward to it.

Like a PP, I would never get bored if I didn't work. So many things to do in life! I can't wait for retirement!

Glad you have had a wonderful break! Do you go back on Monday?

When my mom quit teaching, she went from a size 20 to a size 4. She spends quite a bit of time exercising. Now she subs some, but only 3 days per week so that she still has time for everything else she wants to do. And if a class is super stressful, she just doesn't go back! It's amazing what one has time for when that pesky work thing isn't in the way .

Enjoy your break!

Kinderkr4zy, I see, thanks. I figured you must be on some year-round schedule, which I'd never want to do in a million yrs. I'll take the Aug - June year with 2.5 mos off any day!
