I miss my bff

We were mountain biking last week. She crashed and has a concussion. I miss the fun we usually have. She has limited screen time so we canít even text. Iíve spent a couple days with her. The first day she slept most the day and I was just there to make sure she was safe. She wanted to go hiking and biking. She doesnít remember much of that day. I miss just chatting with her. Iíve taken her 13 year old biking the last 2 days so she can sleep. Itís sad to see her not be able to do what she wants. When I am visiting her (helping with the dogs and kids) she gets so tired and canít even form sentences. Today was better but she didnít sleep while I had her daughter she cleaned a bathroom and wore herself out.

I'm sorry about your friend. It's great that you care enough to help where you can. Your friend really does need to rest to heal.

You're a good friend!
Make sure she buys a new helmet. I know from skiing you have to replace it after any moderate to severe impact.

She already had a new helmet ordered before her accident. She has been sleeping a lot and staying in the quiet dark of her bedroom. Iím helping with her daughter again tomorrow.

She seemed better today. She has realized she canít do the things she wants yet. Iíll keep helping run her daughter around. Iím thankful my kids can take care of themselves during the day.

This isnít how we planned our summer days. We both work for schools and have the rest of the summer to play (when she is up to it). I keep telling her to take it easy.

Make sure she rests! Bathroom cleaning can wait. What grade is her concussion? If she can't form sentences it must be pretty bad.
