Does this ever happen to you?

Is there a physiological reason for this or is it pandemic fatigue? Lately, when I do my morning exercises, I start crying at the end. Not ugly crying or really breaking down, but tears. There was a recent death in my family so I think that has to have something to do with it, but exercise seems to elicit this response in me lately. Does anyone here know anything about this phenomenon?

I know it's a "thing." It's a release of stress and anxiety or whatever else is going on (grief in your case). Something about exercise brings it out. I don't know what the phenomenon is called, though. But I think it's the connection of emotion and physical movement that releases the emotion.

I'm sorry for your loss.

This is apparently very common, especially after a high intensity workout where your body and mind are brought to exhaustion. https://www.wellandgood.com/crying-during-workout/

but I do cry most mornings, for a couple of minutes, after I finish my morning routine. I'm glad to know it doesn't mean I'm crazy..

Not so much when I exercise, but lately when I meditate I end of softly crying. I assume itís anxiety, stress, boredom, grieving all rolled into one.
