I accidentally picked up honey bbq flavored fritos yesterday. Any ideas for using them in salads or casserole? I meant to get the regular ones to put in taco soup and chili. Not a big fan of the flavored ones but hate to see them go to waste.nn

I would put a couple blocks of cream cheese in a bread pan, cover with BBQ sauce, beans and shredded cheese and bake til the cream cheese is melty and scoop wiut with the fritos.

Now I am hungry.

Never tried those.

They'd probably be fine in any kind of creamy soup like potato, etc. They'd probably be good in a taco kind of salad instead of Doritos. Might be good with some kind of cream cheese dip? I don't usually make dip unless there's a gathering of some kind, but seems like it might work.

YUMMY! eat them! (now i'm craving...)

I used to have a recipe for the regular BBQ fritos….but I can't find it in the book I thought it was in... i'm sure this flavor will be great for it too.

I THINK the recipe went like this:

chicken strips
brush on mayo
dredge in crushed up fritos

bake

sorry, I can't be more specific...

I like a block of cream cheese with canned chili and cheddar cheese. Bake until it is gooey.

love these suggestions. I tried some in taco soup and they were actually good. They had a different taste than some of the flavored ones that I had tried before. Goes to show I should practice what I preach and try a food before deciding that I don't like it.

We make a form of a taco salad with those. Lettuce, seasoned gr beef, kidney beans, onion, tomato, cheese, and the Fritos. Toss with a Russian or Catalina dressing. Yum!

Crush them and use them as a breading for chicken?
