I am only two episodes in but am enjoying this mini series. It takes place in the late 50’s/early 60’s and is about and orphaned girl who becomes a child chess prodigy. Very engrossing story with great acting. I thought maybe it was based on a real person but it’s based on a novel written in the 80’s. I think I will binge on a few more episodes this afternoon!

We watched the first episode last night when it popped up on the home screen saying it was#2 in America this weekend. We also enjoyed it and we'll be watching more.

I also wondered if it was based on a true story, so thanks for answering that :-)

It's on my to watch list. Is it good for kids, my 11 year old granddaughter likes to play chess and loves the movie Queen of Katwe.

It’s rated MA (mature audience) by Netflix. It’s address drug addiction, alcoholism, family dysfunction and that’s just the first two episodes! Probably not best for a younger audience.

We just finished binge watching. It was very good. I was a little skeptical as it was my DH pick. He did good!

I've just seen the first episode so far but like it. It's something out of the ordinary.

I really liked this show. It's so well done. I finished it in a few days and have recommended it to several others.

DH and I both really enjoyed it. We finished it in a couple days, and wished there was more.
