Is it worth $15/month? It seems like a lot to me and you still have to pay $29 for a cracked screen. Thoughts?

I have it for my dd phone. Before covid she traveled a lot and was often in crowded places. High risk of having phone stolen. It never occurred to me to use insurance for a cracked screen.

I had it for my DD when she was in high school and college. She had a few stolen and broke a few also so for her it was worth it.

I had it on my phone which I dropped in the toilet. The catch was that I would have to send the phone in and be without a phone until they sent me one. And they would only send me the same model that I had. Since it was old, it wasn’t worth it. I just bought a new phone.

That seems high. Mine was $7 per month I think. I think it's a gamble. I would get it more for the lost/stolen risk than something like a cracked screen. If a cracked screen is your only problem over time it would be cheaper to just pay to fix that. Although I've never lost a phone, I'm always afraid I will and they're astronomically expensive now. In fact, that's why I continue to use my super old phone. There is a certain freedom in it- if something happens to it, I don't really care. I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 and I will use it until it dies!

Thanks for the opinions! I've never had any trouble with a phone before and it does seem like $15 is a lot!

Are you on a Group plan or family plan?

When DH and I went in last, they offered insurance to us just like you--not usual.

We are on a family plan with 5 phones and a tablet. We had DD's iPhone X on insurance and they mentioned that the group insurance was equalivent to just two individual plans.

So now all 5 phones are insured for just a few dollars each. We are with Verizon.

No, just my own plan. I have AT&T because we can't get Verizon service at my school.
