Wondering if anyone is using/has used the Lucy Calkins writing program and what you think of it. Last year was my first year and was very under- whelmed with it.

I was well trained in Writers Workshop and it was my favorite time of the day.

I would suggest giving it time, donít try to teach every single thing in every lesson from her books (they arenít meant to be taught that way), and take your cues from your kids.

I am a proponent of TCRWP. It takes some time to get all the components set up.

Hope this is allowed to share- I was working hard this year to adapt her lessons to distance learning. It looks like they are making pre taped lessons for us so we can spend our time on zoom doing small groups. http://www.unitsofstudy.com/resource...oZLpq7OD4ZCHL0
