Are you guys giving out report cards for the last quarter? We are closed for the rest of the year. I obviously canít test them like I do in the classroom. How are you all grading them, if at all?

I donít think we should do report cards for the end of the year but itís not up to me.

Sorry for all of the questions. I am the only K teacher at my school.

Our P already told us that we would be doing a narrative for each student and not doing report cards. I can see what theyíre doing on the online resources we have, but I have 2 that are not ďpresentĒ because they donít have parents helping them out. (This is consistent with the lack of support all year.)

We are a private school, so idk what public schools are doing. Thereís so much we canít grade!

Our district has not released guidance yet on what we are supposed to do for 4th quarter report cards.

Who cares about K grades anyway? This is a global crisis. I will not be concerned about authentic assessments.

We are doing a Google Meet with our principal today. One of the bulleted items on the agenda is grading. It said something like "continue to do your formative assessments like we've discussed." None of us remember that discussion. So we are all waiting to hear what the district expects us to do.

We are using Seesaw. This week I posted an activity where the student had to read the list of sight words that we are currently working on so I can see how they are doing. I had a message to the parents to not tell the word or give any hints so I could see if we were ready to move on to the next list of words. I still had one or two parents whispering words or sounds in the background. That wasn't even for a grade.

Check into ESGI. They rolled out a student version so assessments can be done at home by the teacher. You would need to watch the video to see how it works. I think the teacher is connected two ways-by phone, and shares the screen with student.

We had to do our second trimester report cards while doing school at home. Some of us did not get our individual skills assessment day because of school closing so we had to use data we had collected earlier or mark INC.

We have not even talked about it as a school yet (public charter), but I'm assuming we won't be doing any, and report cards will be blank for this last trimester. Our P is being very realistic in expectations, and we still have a lot of families not connected to our online learning.

Our grades are Met or Not Yet Met. Basically if they at least attempt to do any work they get "Met" for a grade. High school students still get regular grades.
