Update to Awkward Situation

So I told my principal that I wouldn't be returning. She was understanding, I still have some guilt. I wish teachers didn't feel the need to be self- sacrificing lambs.
Hopefully I'll start to get excited in the coming days for my new adventure.

You deserve to be happy for yourself.

"It's for the children," is always how they get us.

I think you'll feel better as you get some distance from it.

"Don't worry- Be happy!"

I know teachers tend to feel guilty for leaving because they feel like it's their responsibility to continue teaching. However, you shouldn't feel that way. You can say you accomplished an amazing goal and helped many students. You devoted a lot of your time and effort which is greatly appreciated. It's now your time to experience other things in life. I wish you the best.
