Can anyone recommend a few good ESOL apps for the iPad? I'm working with new arrivals to the country and they have no English vocabulary. Thanks

I like the EF High Flyers Vocabulary First App (sometimes, they updated it a while ago, and it's less useful now than before)

MANGO Language Learning (check with your local library system, mine provides this service for free)

Futaba (the paid verison is great because you can make your own vocabulary activities and students can work in a group or individually)

Sight Words by Photo Touch (this is great once they get a bit further and need to work on sight words)

I have a link with a massive list! (Our ESL TOSAs are the best! ) I'll post it when I'm on a computer; pm me if I forget.

Hello PT friends,
Looking for an online site where I could have a 5th grade girl work independently and listen to sight words, stories ect, . She does not speak a word of English, but my district wants her to be in an monolingual class.
Please help ...

"Say HI" is a great translation app, but it's only good with the iphone.
