Great centers idea from schoolbox

Today while shopping at schoolbox, I saw the best idea! There are mini scientific boards..I have never seen this!! And they used little library pockets to complete sorts. For Ex..one was a part of speech board and there were Five pockets. 1.BANK 2. NOUN 3. ADJ 4.ADV 5.VERB and then they sort the words, on the back of each word is a colored sticker that coordinates with the correct answer, that has the same color sticker on the library card. They also had math skills..the mini boards were 3 dollars each, but if you bought three and used velcro only about $15 after everything and reusable! MUCH cheaper than buying centers!

schoolbox.com is the website it's a teacher supply store. I don't think the website will actually have it listed since the store just used their supplies to create it, but they have the mini boards I LOVED it. Easy to make and cheap! You could really play with so many different activities!

I found the boards online at Calloway House's website. They could make some fun, moveable stations!

And it seems like you could even set up a generic "sort board" with pockets that only had the answer key stickers on them. Then all your labels could be placed with velcro... as long as you coded your sorting cards with the matching stickers, you'd have a breeze making new sorts. Thanks for sharing!

I think these are the boards they are talking about... On the Calloway House website I just searched for science boards and the first item on the page is a set of 10 small project display boards. Hope this helps!
