Hello PT,
Was wondering if any of you have used this program before and how you did to implement reading centers with how this series spirals with so much review in the week? Example in one week we had possessives and contractions. The kids were somewhat confused. Also in reading the magazines vs. the chapter books and not having a skill of the week.

Any ideas would help.

I used Superkids when I taught first grade and I loved it. Did you attend the training session? I'm not sure how similar the second grade program is, but I will still share what I did in case it might be helpful. I had three reading groups (below level, on level, above level) and a pocket chart with a red, yellow, and green section. Each group knew their color. The pocket charts had station cards so students knew what to do first, second, third, etc. Stations included small group, practice page, reading leveled books, reading the hardcover Superkids book, handwriting, extend, and game. I created my stations based on the independent activities listed in the teacher's manual. Students would rotate through the stations and work independently while I met with groups for guided reading.
