Im two years retired, but the last three years I taught, homework consisted of whatever math homework our program required plus 30-40 minutes of reading. Once in a while wed have a long term project.

Our staff decided it wasnt beneficial to have much else.

I have a set of homework choices for students to complete, but they can also create their own homework including chores, religious classes or sports teams. I ask for three things to be completed each night. Some choices can be completed in one minute.

I only do homework because parents want it. Id rather not do any. Families need to spend fun time after school. Not fight about homework.
