A vaccine reaction question

I know this has come up quite a bit---the reaction to the various vaccines. As I stated in other posts the only person I know of that has had both is my elderly friend and he had no reaction whatsoever to either. (Pfizer)

My sister is scheduled something like April 6th. That is also the week she can pick up her new chocolate lab puppy which is a four hour drive away. Since she has second pick of the litter for a chocolate female the breeder schedules appointments for pick ups. Please reassure me that not everyone gets a negative reaction! This puppy has been long awaited for and I hope nothing messes up picking her up.

My understanding is that, even among people who have a reaction, they are usually only out of commission for a day or so. If your sister has a week-long window in which she can pick up her puppy, I'm sure she'll be able to do it.

I had a slightly sore arm and felt noticeably more tired the next day. That was it. Some people do have more dramatic reactions. As with all social media, people with more negative experiences are much more likely to post than all those who had nothing dramatic happen.

I had my first shot yesterday

afternoon. It was the Moderna shot. I had to sit for observation 30 minutes instead of 15 due to a previous allergic reaction to a TB tine test.

After about an hour, I experienced a sudden bloom headache. It was a sharp, big pain in my head. I took Tylenol for it but the headache dissipated just as suddenly as it had come on. (Far before the Tylenol had time to do anything.)

Nothing else happened--no bruising, soreness, no other headaches, or other symptoms. I slept very well and feel really good this morning so far.

I am cautiously optimistic about the second shot next month.

I had my second Moderna vaccine yesterday. I feel like absolute crap, but if needed I could totally function. Fever. Aches. Sweating. Nausea.

Is there an option that she could delegate someone else to pick up the puppy should she need to?

I had both doses of the Moderna vaccine. I am highly sensitive to lots of medicine, vaccines, etc. Both vaccines hit me like a semi but I was feeling much much better 24 hours after each reaction started. Hopefully the breeder will work with her to get her puppy home.

I had a low grade fever but was fully functional. My fever went down more today. I think she will be ok. Lucky her on the puppy.

Iíve had both moderna shots.

The first one was super easy. A little soreness in the arm, but mostly unnoticeable effects. I had the second one Thursday. I started having fever about noon Friday. I was chilling and achy, but Tylenol brought the fever down and took away achy feeling. I could definitely tell when the Tylenol was wearing off. Fever never went higher than 101. This morning Iím fine.

I was fine the rest of that day and until the next night. Then I was unhappy, but not dying, with low fever only.

I had no "sick-like" reaction to the 2nd moderna vaccination.

although, when I drove to school 2 days later, I realized how GOOD I felt, it made me realize that my head was a little groggy/cloudy the previous day.

(but I went for a run and drove around running a few errands and did housework, cooked dinner, and did schoolwork)

my friends that go "sick" from the 2nd--felt ick for less than one day, so she should be fine, even if she does get the flu-like symptoms.
