Has anyone on here ever used a lip exfoliant? Do you have a brand you recommend? You know how some people might pull out hair or eyelashes, compulsive little habits like that? My dirty little secret is an anxious habit in which I peel my chapped lips. Not a good habit. It's been going on for over 60 years and it would be pretty cool if it stopped. An exfoliant might make it so there's nothing to peel. There's a lot of choices on Amazon and so I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation.

I just use sugar. Plain ole’ granulated white sugar. I dip my finger in it, & rub a little on my lips. It works really well and it’s cheap. You could also add a little sugar to a drop or two of olive oil and rub it on your lips that way. After I put regular plain Vaseline or plain chapstick (the white & blue type with SPF)

Brown sugar and olive oil for a gentle exfoliation, white sugar and olive oil for a strong one. Dont spend a ton on a mixture of sugars and oils.

Cheaper - Chapstick has one you can find in most stores.

Bath and body works often has seasonal ones that are nice.

However, my personal favorite is from Sephora - it is the Kaja Bento Lip Balm and Scrub - it has everything in one handy (cute) package!

It is not grainy like you would think an exfoliant would be.
You know how kids get that "red lip" above their actual lip when they lick their lips too much? It fixes that up after one use.
I have been using it for years and rarely get chapped lips anymore. Totally worth the price.

I mix sugar and olive oil to exfoliate about once a week. And every night when I go to bed, I coat my lips and surrounding skin with an eos lip balm stick.

coconut oil (the solid kind, not liquid) is supposed to be soooo good and moisturizing--i wonder if you could mix that with sugar--and use everywhere!

I’m pretty sure it is the same thing, coconut oil is liquid at warmer temps and solid at cooler temps.

I use coconut oil and brown sugar on my lips...well sometimes I use it full body as well.
