I also read that DiNozzo and Ziva get closer this season!
Shut the front door! It's about freaking time. Now...to get McGee and Abby together and I'll be happy. No more just alluding to a former relationship either. I want facts (and maybe a couple details ), dangit.
I have thought the same thing -- how dangerous it is to hang around with them!! Another thing, ever notice that every house is extremely clean - when there is a victim!!!
I am late to the NCIS: Los Angeles fan club. Until this summer, I had never seen an episode, but one day I was home all day and watched four in a row. After that I was hooked. I recorded a bunch of episodes and have been watching them whenever I have a moment. Nice to be able to FF through the commercials. I'm starting to "know" the characters a little better.

I love 'Ducky' as well -- all the way back when he was on The Man from U.N.C.L.E! Yes, I am showing my age!
IA11, I'm with you! I loved him as Illya Kuryakin!
Nobody has mentioned Mark Harmon. I think he looks great for his age. He was once People magazine's "sexiest man alive" but this was when some of you were still in diapers .
OMG I had it marked on the calendar and almost forgot! Luckily DH was watching TV and saw it on the menu. So relieved each time I saw another one alive. Yes, I know these are TV characters.... I really felt sick over the death of the hooker/FBI agent; it seemed like she had a few seconds to say get out! Also, I thought they had really evacuated everyone in the building when they knew about the bomb in the car--it seemed like Gibbs et al were the among the last and they all survived. Did they say something about the death toll that I missed? They did mention one area and Gibbs said well, they were close.
texteach--I can't remember the exact details, but Dearing blames the whole Navy for the death of his sailor son, Evan, when his ship blew up. DH says due to faulty design. Don't think he was after Gibbs specifically but not sure.
Why was Gibbs able to just walk right up to Dearing and I guess he stabbed him? Did Dearing feel he had enough revenge and was ready to die? I expected the house to be rigged and for him to blow up Gibbs rather than let him just walk right in. Didn't seem credible to me that this super-smart guy thought he was going to be able to grab a gun that was out in plain sight and kill an expert like Gibbs.

Reason: Made question clearer
as sick as he is, thought he could bring up Kelly to Gibbs and make Gibbs weak. He wanted to connect with Gibbs on a personal level with the loss of their children so Gibbs understood why Dearing did what he did. I also think Dearing wanted to see Gibbs' face when he would shoot him which is why he didn't just place a bomb in the house. Also the fact of the house being where Dearing's son was born, he didn't want to destroy it.
I must say, the premeire could've been more eventful. I'm looking forward to the rest of the season though.
I thought he was after Gibbs and the gang because there were pictures of them all at his stay house when they got there and he espcaped through the secret passage.
I was surprised, too, how easy it was for Gibbs to kill him. He's the man!
