I have a critter question.
Could a raccoon open a screen door?
For years I had two glass storm doors on my porch. I recently did remodeling, and I have a screen door now. It fits well, and actually has to be lifted just slightly to open since it scrapes a high spot on the concrete.
Ths morning, the door was open.

I closed it and went to work. This evening when I got home, it was one again.

There is no damage to the screen. The dog treat box (plastic) doesn't seem to be bothered. The goldfish are fine. Nothing bothered.
There are a few muddy paw prints on the patio outside, but nothing inside the porch. Too big for a squirrel. Too small for the dog. Not shaped right for a dog or cat either.
I do live in the boonies. I've never seen a raccoon, but I'm sure they are around. I get cats, dogs, and squirrels mostly. Sometimes there is a skunk, opossum, or deer.
Think I might have a raccoon?
I latched the screen door tonight.
