I was wondering if anyone had a type of "math club" where students complete extra worksheets or problems at home and achieve some kind of reward or recognition in school. I want my kids to complete math work at home that will help them review and prepare for PARCC. But I am not quite sure how to go about doing that....any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

check out free sites: Prodigy and Front Row Kids earn 'money' to spend in the stores to decorate their avatars. You also can get reports on their progress.

I've had good luck with prodigy, but when I was in a title 1 school, I had a significant number of kiddos with no internet at home other than a parents iphone, it can be done on a phone, but it seemed parents were not keen on handing it over.

students earned lifesaver mints, if the class met daily goals, extra recess, in the game they grow their pets, and level up. it has added chat in recent upgrades, so watch that. my students love to battle me, so that's an added incentive. I've had students complete 300 problems a night, so assign enough each day, or it will start learning what they know and adapt on its own. (which can be ok too)
