I have a Keurig, but I'm thinking of switching back to a regular coffee maker. I feel like I'm constantly buying K-cups and I feel a bit badly about how much waste they make. I have the Solofil cup for brewing my own coffee, but feel like it's more trouble than it is worth.

Do you have a coffee maker that you love?

I bought my husband a Hamilton Beach coffee maker for Christmas that takes loose coffee or the cups without a filter. I use it for hot chocolate. I do not buy the Keurig cups if I can find the cheaper version. I recently got a box of kcups at the Christmas Tree Store for around $7.00. I got this model because I thought the kcups were expensive, and we could use both kinds.

a technivorm. My DH is a total coffee snob. It was 300.00 and supposedly is the only one that will go to that temp. I like it but don't know if it's any better than anything else

The $30-$35 one, had it I think 15+ years, only had to replace the carafe because I broke it

I suppose if we were avid coffee drinkers in this house, we wouldn't really like the Keurig either. As it is, I sort of love ours. DH only makes coffee "when he thinks about it" and I don't drink coffee, so the Keurig was probably the best buy we've made with a coffee maker. It was pretty expensive considering that we don't really use it often, but it's nice to be able to have a single cup of coffee for him (and perhaps a cup of Chai or cocoa for me ) in the moment rather than having to brew a pot of coffee and waste most of it.
