This past week or so I have been feeling awful. I'm a PT member, but I don't want to out myself because I know at least one person on here in person. I wrote recently about greasy hair and hormones.
I don't know why I'm feeling so crappy. I am so tired lately and feel like I'm walking around in a fog. I get random dizzy spells. Feeling queasy. Not really hungry, but I eat so I don't feel dizzy but I get dizzy anyways sometimes! I break out into cold sweats after doing anything physical like light cleaning.
And TMI Warning...
I've grown out of 2 bras overnight. Its very weird to see my boobs spill out over the cups and its a little noticeable when I wear tight shirts. Not complaining too much as they look fantastic haha, but I haven't gained any weight. I'm getting cramps (really low) like I'm going to get my period, but nothing. Not even any spotting. The cramps don't hurt, and I usually get them in my back. It comes and goes, so I don't really think about it much. Sometimes its like a zinging stab, but not often.
I just feel run down, and gross because I've started burping and having gas. I'm very emotional. When my husband was annoyed about me not finishing with something, I yelled at him. And I didn't feel bad about it. Usually I feel really mean and get quiet. This time I yelled at him and glared. Then he raised his voice and I started to cry.
Then today when my husband took a nap I laid down too because I was tired, and woke up over 5 hours later!! I thought it had been like an hour. Guess its time to catch up on organizing....
I've never felt like this before. If you've read all of this so far, thanks for letting me get this off my chest. Oh, and my chest feels like there's pressure on it. Not very painful, but makes me a little short of breath at times and just feels uncomfortable.
I have PCOS and didn't get my period for awhile. Then I got one about 34 days apart for March, April, and May! Haven't gotten one in June or July yet. I went through some stress at work so I figured that was it. My husband and I weren't trying to prevent pregnancy as we were planning on starting a family soon.
Forgot I couldn't edit as a guest. Regarding the cramps, I usually get them in my lower back when I am PMS or on my period. I don't have that now. Instead they are very low below my hip bone.
Also I figured I missed a period because of stress since I've heard that can happen. TMI warning-I'm getting some creamy white-ish yellowish cervical mucus (sorry for the TMI! I figured if I could write all of that other stuff might as well write everything!) that comes and goes, sometimes when I pee or wipe. Nothing hurts/burns, etc and it doesn't bother me.
Sounds like you need a good check up! Rule pregnancy out/in, and that way you can proceed with the good news, if you are pregnant.
But if you aren't, a doctor can definitely help ease those issues you're having. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in January and might not have caught it if I hadn't been finally taking care of an issue I'd avoided.
Not that I'm saying you should worry about anything so serious.
Like we do with our kids, we need to be Proactive rather than Reactive, and that goes with our health. Hope you get to feeling better.
I took one a few days ago, at night after my DH went to work. I took a Dollar Tree test and it was negative.
My DH asked if I was pregnant a few days ago because I said something tasted funny and have been more snappy/emotional than usual, but I don't want to talk to him about how I'm feeling and then feel stupid if I'm not pregnant. There's no one that I can really talk to in real life about this so I am so thankful that I have PT to come to to get advice and support. Thank you all so much.
I had scheduled a follow up appointment in April for this Wednesday the 10th to meet with my doctor (who is wonderful) about my PCOS. She was thrilled in April to hear that I got a period on my own 2 months in a row and thought maybe I was ovulated. She said if not, that we'd try clomid down the road.
At night isn't usually good, especially early on. I'd get another one and test first thing in the am.
Like the others my first thought was that you are pregnant, ! With DS my chest had several growth spurts that happened overnight. (Along with other symptoms you mentioned.)
I agree, I think there is a very real possibility that you may be pregnant! I would take another test. If you aren't, I would have a chat with the doctor for sure! Your hormone levels may be fluctuating for whatever reason. You might also ask them to check your thyroid.
Good luck to you and ((((HUGS)))) from someone with PCOS who understands!
I think I'm going to wait till Wednesday and let my Dr. run a test. I'm worried I'll do the test wrong or something. I've been taking prenatals for a few months and don't drink or smoke. Thank you all again for weighing in, I feel so much better now just typing it all out. I will keep you guys updated!
Pregnancy tests can give a false negative, but not a false positive. That is what I learned when I was trained to pregnancy test (urine test) at a local pregnancy center.
Try the test again, even if you use a dollar store test. If it has not expired, it is almost as accurate as a doctor's urine test.
I have a friend that had 2 negative tests at home but was so miserable she went to the Dr. Turns out she was pregnant. You have all the symptoms she had.
