I haven't used them in the past but want to add more to what I do. How do you manage them/use them? What about cleaning them? Lice?

TIA

I've never had a problem...

I've done a camping theme for 8 years and I've never had any issues with the sleeping bag. I usually ask the kids to just lay on them (I let partners go into the tent during centers and the Hiker of the Day goes in alone during SSR (Reading Workshop). (I'm definately not a clean freak...so I guess I've been lucky!)

I think it depends on the on the age. Younger grades might be OK. But my at school the 5th grade had to remove tents and bags because of kids making out. I also avoided a tent in my 3rd Garden class for fears of similar things happening with the group I had last year.

I suggest using them, but maybe spray them with lice spray once a week or so. At my school, our janitors will usually spray those kinds of things for us every once in a while and even more often if we have cases of lice in the school. But if you are working with older students, I would be cautious about using them.
