Our school is evaluating these two programs for adoption in another year from now. Does anyone have experience with or opinions about either program?

we purchased Math Expressions about 5 years ago and no one likes it. We are already switching to another program this coming fall. I only used it for 5th grade so can't tell you about other grade levels- although there were some nice examples in the book there were very few practice problems and we had to supplement a lot.

We love Math Expressions - this is our 3rd year (4th for those of us who piloted...) I have always liked it, although it was short on fact practice in the workbook. However, they have come out with the new "common core" edition, and it includes a lot more practice, starting right away at the beginning. It really gets kids to figure out HOW to solve problems and WHY some of the shortcuts work. Our kids like math a lot more since we started using expressions...
