Need help-rockstar theme!

Clip to ScrapBook #1

I am doing a rockstar theme this year and have got just about everything planned out...except for one part. I am hoping that all you creative PTers can help me out! In past years I have had a bulletin board by my classroom library with the title "Book are treasures waiting to be discovered" and decorated with a chest full of books. Although I love that bulletin board (got the idea from here), I would like to have it go with my rockstar theme. So, any ideas of how I can incorporate books into my theme? I realize this could be a stretch, any help/ideas are appreciated! Thanks!!

"Books Rock" or "Reading Rocks"--Put titles/pics of books in music notes or a CD
You could also make it interactive by choosing a title of the week, month, etc., and have students put song suggestions for a soundtrack for that book on sticky notes. (pretend it is being made into a movie)

A link to a photo. I used the phrase "We're Record Breaking Readers."

You could add CDs with children's names or booktitls.

...is a catchy "hook" and you could highlight and/or tweak some well-known rock lyrics on sheet music...Queen's "We Will Rock You" for example, or, "I Want to Ride My Bicycle.". The Jackson 5's "ABC"... Lots of possibilities. Poetry + music = rock n roll! Also, you could try an image search for rock stars reading - pics like that would be great on a bulletin board...

I am doing the same theme in my classroom. I saw an idea on Pinterest (can not find the link, sorry) that I am going to use above my library. I am making a giant ipod out of poster board and laminating it. On the screen I will write out a playlist. For example: Genres: Fairy Tails, Fiction, Non Fiction, Fantasy, Humor, Narrative, Poetry, etc. The title of the Bulletin Board will be "Tuned into Reading." I hope this makes sense.

Here are some other ideas:

"Whole Lotta Reading Going On" (Elvis)

"Rockin' Readers"
