Clip to ScrapBook #1

I'm moving to a new classroom. It's basically a large converted closet and the walls are a pastel violet. I can deal with the closet because my group of kids is small, but how do I decorate a classroom that boys will be comfortable in with pastel violet walls?! I need ideas because I'm really drawing a blank here. Does anyone have an idea for a theme or design I could use that wouldn't draw a lot of attention to violet but also wouldn't completely clash with it either? It's actually a very pretty color, but only for a girls nursery, not a classroom.

I have one wall in my classroom that is divided into 4 sections due to windows and beams. I painted that wall 4 shades of purple, (picture one of those paint chips with the 4 colors on it). It's really not that much paint, due to double windows in 2 of the sections and 2 shelf bookcases on the floor.
The rest of the room, we painted a silver gray though, and all of my bulletin boards are covered in black paper. The silver and black add to it not being girly.

What about PEACOCK colors?
The blues and greens would also be a contrast.
You could go with favorite sport themed colors...but lose the interest of some of the girls on that one.
Purple and silver/black is very classy. Add a deeper purple on the pastel violet, and border with a silver/black...
Good luck!

My classroom is purple, grey, and black and I don't think it looks "girly". In fact, several people compliment me on the colors when they come in. They say they are soothing.
