Would this make you crazy?

Even though I love my condo, I still look. Just saw this great location condo. Would a wrong-way-opening refrigerator drive you as crazy as it would me?

Oh my gosh, yes! I have a friend whose refrigerator was like that, and I asked, "Why don't you switch the handle to the other side?" She had no idea you could switch them around!

But, yes...that would drive me bat crap crazy!

I looked at the picture and didn't really see any major problems. So, it wouldn't bother me, I guess!

I understand it's better in that scenario for the handle to open on the other side, but I don't think I would really care that much about it.

It would bother me! I change the handle on my mini fridge in my classroom when I move it.

My fridge opens from that side. It works best for my kitchen format. I think itís just a matter of taste.

Fridge door

I would have that door changed ASAP. It doesn't make sense to be inconvenienced like that.

One thing I really dislike is a kitchen where the stove and fridge are set right next to each other. When I see that sometimes in house photos, I think, "poor design.'

To me, that's no different from having a split-door fridge and having doors open both ways. That said, it just looks so WRONG in the pic!

Yes, Iíd think it would bother me because Iíd have to walk around the door to put something on the counter or the stove.

But what would really bother me is all that cr** on the refrigerator! Itís a pet peeve of mine.

That's the way our garage refrigerator opens. Handle is on the left. It makes sense because of where the frig is in the garage in relation to the door to the house.

In the case of the refrigerator in your picture, I would definitely need the handle on the right so as not to have to walk around the door to get to the rest of the kitchen. So, yeah, it would bother me.

That's something I never would have noticed, but I have a tiny fridge anyway, so my refrigerator standards aren't too high.

I'd want it switched just so a person wouldn't have to walk around the door.

But really, this is the true problem. So agree with this.

Fridge

Maybe...depends on how much traffic that doorway gets. DD had a kitchen set up like this, with fridge doors opening the other way. She was always afraid someone would walk into open fridge doors.

In that kitchen I don't think it would bother me, because there looks to be plenty of room behind it. But if I had that fridge, I would get it to open the other way.

Yes! I am an avid cook so I would need to get a new refer if it didnt open correctly in reference to my kitchen layout. This looks like a nice condo so this wouldnt stop me from buying it. I would just fix it.

DH is left handed and was tickled pink when he got to choose for the refrigerator to be opened that way.

My parents have a fridge like that. I think it's so weird every time I visit home- I always automatically reach for a handle on the other side that's not there. They say they just got used to it.

I tried to get them to change the door at school because it opens the wrong way. The custodian laughed at me. I considered doing it myself, but...

Hey, you guys! Iím not talking about the direction the refrigerator opens in generalómost of us are right-handed and probably prefer one that opens like the refrigerator in the picture. HOWEVER, because of location, that refrigerator opens into the hallway. I want mine to open into the kitchen. Donít you think it would be a hassle putting groceries away and cooking if you had to go around the door every time?

I would prefer that it open into the kitchen, even though the handle would be on the ďwrong sideĒ for me. Iíd swap that around.

All my fridges have opened that way since I was a kid. That's not something I would even think of. As long as I can open the fridge and get what I need, I'm good.
