Here's a collection of 30+ dodgeball variations; find one that best suits your needs!

Some options focus upon throwing at objects rather than people, so not every variation includes human targets.

Let them play true dodge ball. Kids are way to soft and afraid of being hurt. I had a kid tell me he was wearing a knee brace because the doctor said he had a "contusion".

To play true dodge ball (red kick ball and all) in an enclosed gym.

Between the kids with no impulse control, and the threat of concussion (red kick ball), who has time for?

I know for our PE, a variation of dodge ball (no human targets) has to be earned. Some classes can't play it because of the student mix. We have had kids who would aim for the head, no matter how many times you explained the rules.

I'm not dealing with the crazy from the parents who will call.

Thanks OP, I'll show these to our PE teacher.
