Clip to ScrapBook #1

Has anyone seen or done any prep work on the latest second grade updated version of third edition of everyday math program? I have collected a lot of material, esp. math messages and want to know if I'll be able to use it.
Thanks in advance.

Starting EDM this fall

We are beginning EDM for the first time this fall. At the end of the last school year we had a short professional development on the program. The program was not completed yet so we didn't see all the materials but we were given a copy of the first unit. I have been checking things I've found online with the unit I was given. For this first unit at least, the math messages appear to be the same although I have not gone through the whole unit. I did check the first five. The vocabulary list is the same as a list I had found online. Hope this helps.

Thanks for letting me know. I hope to look at the new teachers manual next week and will post any changes.

EDM new program

My district just purchased the newest updated version of edm. It is almost exactly the same as the 8or9 year old one we had. I just wrote new curriculum for my district to ign it to the new core. There were a few lessons taken out. The math messages are almost all the same. The spiriling theory that edm has is almost opposite to the idea of the new core. Very interesting.
