I'll be flying in a couple days, and I would like to have a book to read on the flight. Can you recommend one? I would like something funny, maybe similar to Jenny Lawson's books.
If you have a book to recommend that isn't funny, that's okay, too. I just need something light because I get distracted on planes, so nothing deep.
I was able to keep interested in Backman’s Britt Marie was Here. It was recommended by several PT folks. I enjoyed it. Another quirky character like his character Ove in a Man Called Ove.
I traded with a friend of mine for the return flight. I started Exit West. Oh my, I am so distracted by the looonnnnggggg sentences. I’m not sure I will get through it. Fortunately, it is only a bit more than 200 pages
I was going to suggest Jenny Lawson! I was reading Furiously Happy at a hockey game a few weeks ago and laughing out loud - people thought I was a bit crazy.
Thank you for starting this thread. I'm looking for funny, light reading over break.
I laughed out loud while reading Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris and Bill Brysons books, A Walk in the Woods, The Road to Little Dribbling, and In A Sunburnt County.
It's been a while since I read Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail by Cheryl Strayed. I remember thinking at the time I really liked her humor.
