Question: If you could be part of a movie...

DD & I are watching Teen Beach Movie on the Disney Channel. In it, two teenagers are whisked into an old movie musical and become part of the cast.

If you could be transported into any film, what would it be and why?

Also, in this movie, the teens change the plot b/c two of the characters fall in love with the teens instead of with each other. Would you cause the plot to change with your arrival?

Either To Kill a Mockingbird or The Wizard of Oz. They are my favorites! Would not change the plots - they're classics.

I can't decide on one.. would have to be either a Cary Grant comedy (because I LOVE Cary Grant); or a Fred Astaire musical because I always thought it would be so awesome to dance with Fred Astaire...

was there ever a musical comedy with Fred Astaire and Cary Grant? That's what I need..

But I have always wanted to be an extra on the soap opera General Hospital. Sitting in Kellys, on the docks, or in GH while some huge drama is going on. It would be so exciting to me. I have been a fan for many years.

Another one here for Sound of Music - good thing it has many roles for females.

I agree with a pp, Dirty Dancing would be so fun. I also would want to be in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the original). I would want to be Charlie...but a girl version! Yuuuuummmm!

Yesteach, I adore Cary Grant movies, too! I would love to be the Joan Fontaine character in Suspicion (refuse to be a plot changer!) or one of the children in Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House (because I could never out perform Myrna Loy).

Gaslight is my all time favorite movie--can't decide if I want to be the police inspector (Joseph Cotten role) or the saucy housemaid (Angela Lansbury)--but no way would change the plot!

Philadelphia Story. I'd be the photographer/girlfriend of Jimmy Stewart. I'd get to be in a lot of scenes, watch my favorite Katharine Hepburn, be Jimmy's love interest (with a lot of wisecracking lines), and see Cary Grant too.

Terrific movie!!!!

The Sound of Music, Annie, The Lion King or The King and I - because I LOVE musicals and those are my favorites!

Grease! I don't want to change the plot. I just want a poodle skirt and a pink satin jacket.

Oh, the possibilities are endless.

I'd like to be one of the ballerinas from The Phantom of the Opera Movie. I'd put a lifejacket on Christine, push her overboard on the gondola, and have the Phantom sing "Music of the Night" to me instead of her.

I love Miss Bates from Emma. Miss Bates would show up at Emma's wedding with a total, extreme make-over and steal the show.

In The Mummy, I'd show up as the heroine's younger cousin and have Oded Fehr, the Medjai warrior, fall head over heels in love with me and we'd go exploring ancient Egyptian artifacts together.

I would want to be in Gone With the Wind and have Rhett leave Scarlett at the end and find me!

I have always loved The Quiet Man with John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara. That would be my movie. The Ireland scenery is beautiful. That may be why I've always wanted to visit Ireland.

There are so many to choose from. I guess I will chose Blue Hawaii. I could have two dreams. Elvis singing a romantic melody to me and getting to spend time in Hawaii. :-)

I agree Rascalrose! Grease would be my first choice. How fun!

But then I thought The Notebook and play Rachel McAdam's character opposite Ryan Gosling.
