I am always looking for resources for worksheets and projects for 6th grade Eastern Hemisphere Ancient Civilization. Anyone else teach this subject? I find it challenging to find age-appropriate, non-boring materials. Want to share? Suggestions?

Look for Mr. Educator on Teachers Pay Teachers. I have bought a few of his units and really enjoy them.

Thank you for the suggestion! I will do that.
I use many reading comprehension worksheets from edhelper, but that gets really old really fast.

There's a book series called "Story of the World" which a lot of homeschoolers use. For every unit, it has ideas for games, recipes, crafts and other activities to supplement the topic.

The Historyteachers on youtube? Hysterical but historically accurate music videos. I always show the King Tut one and the Fleas on Rats one. I know these aren't worksheets but they sure jazz up a lesson. Also the British Museum has great interactive websites and the BBC has some interactive games as well.

Too many "History Teachers"

Can you send a link of the King Tut (or other video) you use from "The History Teachers". There seems to be a few of them but may not be the same ones as you are talking about. It is a pretty generic name.

Thanks,
Paul

Look at 'Horrible Histories' videos also--short, funny and the kids get a kick out of them.

This is a wonderful resource. I have bought many units...the kids love the powerpoints with interactive activities and links. The units really jazz up your lessons.
