Prodigy math. It is a wizard type battle. To cast spells you have to answer math questions. Teachers can create assignment so kids are answering the unit of choice. Teacher can check up on individual students and while class results. It I've tells you what wrong answers were selected. There is a paid membership if you want but the only real difference is outfit your wizard can wear. It runs curriculum from grade 1 to 8 even common core aligned and Ontario curriculum s

I follow the Math Coach's Corner on FB. Donna Boucher, the math coach, has helpful posts with connections to games. Many are free. She has many products on TPT so if you put in Math Coach's Corner, 2nd grade, free you will find many high quality activities.

Sorry the link isn't working--it just happened. My students are so bummed. It had amazing educational games that they could do at their computer or on the smartboard. Hopefully, the website returns.

On teacher pay teachers- If you type in Jen Erickson she has some GREAT coloring math worksheets. What 2nd grader doesn't want to color? Plus, they are practicing their facts. She also has reading ones as well.

Here is another awesome site for math coloring pages: http://www.coloringsquared.com/print...tion-division/
- Great on your own activity for basic math facts

My students also love the bubble gum bump game:https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/...on-Game-352292

Abcya math bingo is a hit too.

For apps. I use math zombies and math bubbles.

Mega Math is a good website too. Looking forward to hearing more suggestions and what others use in their rooms!

Math Activities

Our students like some of the games and activities in the Sheppard Free Math software (most other subjects too) suitable for IWBs :

http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/math.htm

Many teachers provide lots of good Math links e.g. Grade 2-

http://mrsgebauer.com/mathsites.html

Johnny's Math Fun
http://jmathfun.com/

From Aus: Get Smart Games
http://getsmarts.weebly.com/index.html

From the UK: :Lots of 'Follow me'/Loop cards ( I have..who has...) to make for class games etc:
http://www.primaryresources.co.uk/maths/maths.htm

Also:
http://www.mathszone.co.uk/
Our students like the Dino Dig Coordinates Game http://www.counton.org/games/flash/v...t/dinosaur.swf
A whole class version of Funky Mummy facts to 20 is popular. We dance to the music for a correct answer and freeze when it stops and teacher points to another child to answer the next question of the IWB.

Number Find is a new one I just discovered. It's an app on the iPad that works with an empty 100 grid and the kids need to try to find the number quickly. Check it out!

With my tutoring kids I use matific.com They like the games and I like it because it gives me a report of what games they played and what their scores were.

Hundred's Chart Frenzy

I turned filling in a 100's chart into a game/race. I set a time and they have to beat the clock. For my students who need more help, I use a chart with multiples filled in from math-drills.com. For my students who need a challenge i change the starting number (I start with 201, but some times throw in numbers like 351).

You could also take a filled in hundreds chart and turn it into a puzzle. Cut it up in chunks and have the kids put them back together.

abcya.com has some math games on it, but it is hard to find one that will keep the kids engaged.

I love the number cards. I print them on card stock and laminate them. They've lasted years.
