Here is my daily schedule
Old 04-10-2020, 11:43 AM
  #1

Wake up between 6:30-9:00. Drag downstairs and sip coffee, catch up on PT and FB.

10:30 start thinking about making myself presentable. Ok, honestly, put on deoderant, wipe my face off, brush my teeth and put on exercise clothes whether I plan on exercising or not.

10:35-12:00 do a little work stuff. Sometimes that starts earlier, sometimes later. Hours definitely vary by demand.

12:00-4:00 - take a walk. No, not the whole time. Some days (two or three times a week) it does, but usually an hour or hour and half.

As soon as walk is over begin thinking about dinner. Wonder how early we can have dinner because as soon as dinner is over, can put jammies on and watch tv and wonder how long I have to wait to go to bed.

5:00-7:00 dinner

9:00-12:00 Go to bed.

Begin again the next day.

How about you?

Up til now:
7:00. Shower, make up, and hair

12:00. Lunch
1:00. Google meet with class

I have two zoom IEPs next week though, so Iím not sure if it will ever slow down like I hope.

I made this schedule for myself bc I knew I wasn't doing well with no routine. I laminated it, along with some cutout shapes. I attached the shapes to paper clips bc I had no clothespins. Now I have limits on screen time and other stuff, some set times, for certain things, AND some choice, which is perfect for me!

Ugh. Mine entails a lot of work.

6:30-6:45: Get up. Make coffee

6:45-7:30: Finalize lesson plans for the day, send out to families.

8:00-9:00 Answer any morning e-mails from families/students. Compile work
sent in by students so that I can share it back out if needed
(writing I want shared, economics data they collected, etc.)

9:00: 1 on 1 with student virtually

10:00: Writing group virtually

10:30: Read Aloud with whole class virtually

11:15: Break for lunch

12:30-3:00: PM groups and 1 on 1's begin and last until 3:00

3:00: Answer pm e-mails from parents/families. Start planning for the next day.

4:00: "Done" for the day

The rest of the night varies. I get bored with the same ol' same ol', so I mix it up. Walking, crafts, internet, cooking, etc.

11:00: Bed

This virtual work is a lot more work than real life teaching for me.

We donít have a very rigid schedule.

Iím online for work between 8 and 3, but DH is just 9 to 1. We both have to post work, monitor kids, video chat, contact parents, talk with teammates.

We are also doing some house projects and working outside whenever we can. Taking walks.

We we eat supper between 4 and 6. We always listen to governor at 5. Take a shower and watch TV in bedroom. Play iPad games. Sleep Sometime between 10 and 3. Iím horrible at falling asleep.

On weekends I sleep later and usually work on crafts or something else fun. We both cross stitch. We also have diamond painting kit and puzzles.

I have no schedule

4-5 daily zooms with students (small groups, so I have 4-5 and students have 1-2)
3x week staff meeting zooms (all staff, department, team)
1x week leadership zoom

Those are the only things that remain consistent weekly (but are at different times daily to try to coordinate with different family and teacher needs - we're trying to avoid having siblings on Zoom at the same time plus some parents requested specific times.

I'm definitely pretty much growing roots in my computer chair, though.

Walk when the weather cooperates-this week it has rained and snowed a lot

Luckily my schedule varies a bit by the day, so at least something feels "different" some days and not like the same thing day in and day out. One interesting thing about this whole set up is that I've been able to shift my work hours to the afternoon/evening 3 days per week, which certainly works better with my preferred sleeping schedule! I've always hated having to be at work at 7:30 AM.

Unless we have a random meeting, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays the only "live" thing I have is my required office hour via zoom from 2:30-3:30. I've been sleeping in, making myself presentable when I wake up and then spending the next 4-5 hours working (making instructional videos and exit tickets for the next day, uploading everything, paperwork/documentation, etc.) I've also been eating lunch and dinner very late- lunch around 4 PM, dinner around 9 PM, snack/dessert around midnight that half the time I end up skipping.

At first I felt like I had to be working during "work hours" and really that just doesn't make sense with our current set up. The vast majority of my students are doing their work at night so it was a big waste of my time to be in seesaw/google classroom checking for returned assignments during regular school hours. I start checking during my office hour, check again around 7 PMish and then one last time around 10 PMish to make sure I didn't miss anything- I have to document which students are doing the lessons I send out.

Yes, this. I am spending FAR more time on e-learning than I ever did preparing for in class learning. I could "wing it" and do well before. (We never had to prepare lesson plans...not mandatory). Well, now we do. Daily/weekly.

And all the 1 on 1 lessons and small group lessons and whole group lessons take up a larger chunk of my day that actually being in school. No recess breaks or breaks for specials for me. My house is a mess! And I am exhausted.

Me too. I think it is heavily dependent upon how big your team is for your subject, grade, or special; what your state's expectations are; and how your district/school is interpreting them.

My schedule will change next week as we now have formal school related stuff, including 8 virtual meetings with grade levels... How did I get on those? Yikes.

One at 8 am. I hope they aren't scared when they see me.
