Best Car Battery Jump Starter These Days?

I go on drives more often these days, so I always want to be prepared if my car battery goes out. Mine always lasts a shorter time than the # of years of the actual battery I buy. The last one I bought was a lemon and never worked 1x.

What's the best jump starter these days that doesn't cost an arm & a leg? I'm talking about the device you keep in your car, NOT the old-fashioned red & black cables that you have to hook up to another car to get it going. TIA!

I got my dd a Halo battery charger. It can also charge phones and computers.

She has had to use it on her car — and it worked!

I got it from Amazon.

And — I got one for dh and I too. It’s pretty cool! The directions are straight forward and on the device itself.

We have ones that also have an air compressor for filling tires. We actually gifted one to each of my children when they got a car. Itís definitely come in handy on several occasions. We have actually used the air compressor more.
I think there are cheaper versions if you check Walmart or Amazon.

Mophie power station go portable. It charged my ds battery in half charge. It also saved us this week with no power by charging our phones. We agreed itís one of the best things I bought that we thought we would never need.

I also have a Halo. My Dad bought it for me for hurricanes.

I have the mid level AAA subscription for any problems that may come up with my vehicle.

Thanks a lot, guys and for the links too! In the meantime, I was looking at HSN and QVC.

I like the compact size of the HALO, but there are 70 1-star reviews out of 222...doesn't seem that good.

Mophie has 24 1-star out of 82 reviews. The reviews are hit or miss.

Diehard and Duralast should be much better.

Many of them seem to be a hit or miss.

How many of you just buy an extra car battery to keep in your car about 1-2 yrs before it's going to go out? I mean if you have a 5-yr battery, just buy another when your current one is 3-4 yrs old.
