Your Back to School Wardrobe?

To those who have to go back to school, what will your BTS wardrobe be like this year? I assume as comfortable and no-fuss as possible, and probably with pockets since there's a whole of other new frustrations, pressures, etc. to worry about.

My Mom got us these comfortable, cargo, jogger pants with POCKETS that some of you might like. They also come in petite and tall and a good amount of colors:

My classroom is not air conditioned. It can easily hit 90+ degrees. I will wear a lot of t-shirt / a line dresses with bike type shorts underneath. The dresses donít have waist lives so they are cooler but the shorts help.

I just ordered this one. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I will add a cardigan as it gets cooler.

We're online for at least the first quarter, so looks like I can continue with leggings and t-shirts for a while.

I think scrubs would be best. Cool, comfortable, and easy to slip out of and throw in the washer each day after school.

I actually wore a line t-shirt dresses.

I am wearing my usual wardrobe. Dresses, mostly.

I need to go through my closet and see what still fits. I havenít worn most of my good clothes in forever. I need to weed out things I donít like or donít fit.

We are allowed to wear jeans this year if we want.

Unless P says something specific, I'm going to wear jeans this year. A couple of years ago she randomly put in our handbook that we were only supposed to wear jeans on Fridays.

I'm a rule follower, so I've continued to do that even though others in my building have gotten really lax about it and she never mentions it. Last year I even noticed our AP wearing jeans a couple of days per week! I think she's most concerned that people look "put together" and that's completely possible in jeans.

I've lost weight and I don't want to spend money on new dress clothes that I won't wear anywhere else, because I highly suspect we'll end up back to remote learning pretty quickly. I'm hoping with all of the craziness this year, dress pants will not be something to focus on.

I'm in a hot portable, so I'll be in Bermuda shorts and t-shirts.thin flowy shirts, because that dang mask is going to make me even hotter!

If the P or Super says anything, I'll invite them to stay in my room all day and see how freakin' toasty it gets.

Ditto, but a regular south facing classroom on top floor. No fans this year. Of course, offices have A/C

And how many of us have " school clothes" ( bottoms mostly) that are a bit too snug now anyway and don't want to/won't buy new ones. I am not going shopping, and I would have to try stuff on.

We are going back with a hybrid model. I will wear what I usually wear - a light dress (usually a swing type tank dress) and bring a cardi incase the air is actually working.

I teach kindergarten and it is play based with a lot of outdoor, so I usually go with leggings and a longer shirt. Iíll probably wear my bathing suit in September because it is going to be boiling hot and we donít have air-conditioning and we canít have fans .

Scrubs or other easily cleaned clothes. Most of my colleagues do not follow safe and healthy practices. So I avoid them and I donít want to bring their cooties home with me.

My plans were not released yet and we are hoping to be remote for a month. I plan on washing my clothes in hot water as soon as I come home. I plan on wearing t shirts and Capri pants then comfortable pants. I have so many school t shirts that I can wear. Iím not wearing any good clothes.

Business casual, so nice pants, dresses and jeans on Fridayís. We canít wear pants that look like sweat pants.

My room is usually frozen, so even though I have cute summer tops, itís too cold to wear them without a sweater.

We are starting the year online, but staff will be required to go to the building. Our dress code for teachers is very casual under normal circumstances. Everyone, even admin wears jeans. I will wear jeans and a nice top of some sort.

I am still hoping with our numbers going up again and the governor threatening to close some things again, that they will change their minds and let us stay at home to work.

Iíll wear my normal clothes but less of my dressier, nicer clothing. No sweats or jogger type pants or scrubs allowed. We can wear jeans if we donate to a charity. Iíve heard this year they are going to lower the price so Iím sure the majority of people will wear jeans or jean capris.

We are starting virutal for at least the first 4 weeks, but must do it from the classroom. They sent out an email just to tell is that professional dress is still required.

starting Online, but have to go to class
Old 08-09-2020, 10:46 AM

We are starting Online, but the teachers have to teach from the classroom. They say it's so that the transition will be really easy when we go back in person and so that we have adequate resources. I think it's so that the community will see that they are "getting their money's worth" and that the teachers are being "held accountable."

My clothing problem is that my CoVid weight is the heaviest I have ever been. It's going to have to be stretch pants and tunics for a while.

We found out last week we can wear jeans everyday. Jeans are usually for Fridays only. We can either wear a school t-shirt or another top. I am very happy with this. I don't usually wash my dress pants every time I wear them. Jeans will be a lot better for me.

It's funny you said that since I was thinking about that as I looked through my closet this morning.

We started back last week, traditional schedule, and I wore a server's apron (the short kind) to keep extra masks, Germ-X, my phone, and a pen (so I didn't have to use other people's pens). It was so handy!!! I bought one in black and one in white, so they go with plenty of my clothes.

They do look better with pants, since my dresses are shift style, but they still worked with them. So that means I'm wearing the same things I did last year - shift dresses, pants/cute tops, and jeans/school shirt on Friday.

I'll definitely wash everything after one use, but I did that during flu season anyway.
