What do your grandkids call you?

I have one darling granddaughter. I wanted to be called gramma, not grandma. Nana was already taken by her other grandma. My sweet grandbabe decided otherwise and has dubbed me ďMagaĒ. At first I didnít like it because of the Make America Great Again connection, but she insists that I am Maga and now I love it because I love her! 💕

Our first grandchild was 8 when he joined the family. No misspoken words from him so weíre grandma & grandpa. As siblings were born they just followed along with those terms. I donít care what they call me as long as they do it often

I was the oldest grandchild on one side and called my grandma ďpapaĒ and my grandpa ďde otta papaĒ (the other) until I was 2 or 3 and my mom changed it to Meme & Papa.

I am Memaw. I have grown to love the name but didn’t at first. I miss my grandchildren. They live on the opposite coast.

Lol, my Goddaughter called her dad’s mom Bana... we have no idea where it came from. Mom’s mom was Mimi.

My friend, Goddaughter’s mom, has somehow become Grambox.

We are expecting our first grandchild in October and we are wondering about this too. Our children called my mom and dad grandmom and granddaddy, except for DD who called my mom "memom". It just came out one day when she was about 18 months old and it stuck! We have a little girl in our church who just turned 3. Her father is from Argentina and she calls her grandparents mimi and papi. I love that!

No grandkids, but I often wonder if I'm blessed with grandchildren how the name thing I'll play out.

I grew up calling both my grandmothers, grandma.

I like GG, but my mom is GG for great grandma.

My first initial is K. My SIL is called Kaki

I am Gigi! I picked it myself because I did not want to be called grandma. I love being a grandmother, and I love being called Gigi. It kind of works, too, because my last name starts with G, so I'm Grandma G...GG...Gigi!

I am Mimi. My mother was dead set on being called grandmother. My oldest couldn't get out that mouthful and could only say, Murr. It stuck and she now loves it because it is unique. I have only known one other Murr. Any more out there?

My grandson is only 2 months old so he could change what we are called. My daughter-in-law asked us what we wanted to be called. Her parents wanted grandma and grandpa so my husband and I went with Nana and Poppy. Though my husband is really working on getting Baby Theo to call him Jeti Master!

I am GaGa and that was not my plan at first. Oldest grandson was completely in my care one summer when he was about 6 months old. One day after his nap, I went upstairs to hear him babbling "GaGa" over and over. When I approached his crib, he looked up, smiled, and said it again. It stuck and I love it!

I am Nana. My stepgrands call me Nana Lisa.

Jai also has a Grammie Jodie and a Gramma Bonnie...

My gentleman friend is often with me when I babysit Jai (yes, my dd allows me to have a "boyfriend" over when I babysit ) and we are calling him "Grandpa Dana" for now. Jai's daddy's daddy is "Grandpa Brian" and my late dh is "Papa Pops".

We will be camping next weekend with my GF's son's family. His dgd is 18 months old. We shall see what she will call me. "Lisa" is fine, but it looks like I will be seeing a lot more of her, so maybe I will end up being "Nana Lisa."

My mom started out as Nana but her first granddaughter modified it to Nina when she started talking and it stuck. She is now Nina. My dad goes by G. Just the letter nothing else... it fits.

I love being grandma. I don't always get why people wouldn't want to be that. But to each his own. One set of grandchildren call us Grandma and Grandpa and their other set Nanna and Poppy. That works. Nobody ever gets mixed up.

Another set calls both their grandparents Grandma and Grandpa, and when they need to distinguish, their mom will refer to me as Grandma Laura and her MIL as Grandma Cathy.

Jamma--a mutation of Gramma. But as he got older, he modified it back to the original so, by the time the others arrived, Gramma was it. DH is Papa or Pops.

My DGS calls me Grandma sometimes he calls me Grandma and my first name. His other Grandma is Grandma and her first name. He calls my DH pop pop or Grandpa. My DH has a funny nickname and he has started using it as well. He is 3 his brother is 7 months. His grandpa on the other side lives several hours away so he doesn't see him much, he just calls him his name. He will argue with his mom that my Dh is his only pop pop. She is not close to her dad so she doesn't make a big deal about it. My DD is getting married soon and asked him when she had kids if they could call. my DH pop pop too, he told her no. He said they have to call her boyfriend's dad pop pop only.

My eldest grandson (now age in 30s) called me Monga! I am Grandma to one set and Mimi to the other. Their mothers seemed to pick for me. I didn’t really mind, but I did want to be Nana. But they already had Nanas and I’m not one to stir the pot or insist on it. So Monga/ Grandma/ Mimi it is!
