So. Many. Clothes.

Itís no secret that I love clothes. Always have.

Itís been mostly lounge clothes since March. I had almost forgotten what I had. Now that school is almost ready to begin, I need my real clothes again. I have also lost 25 pounds, so I wasnít even sure what still fit.

Todayís project included trying on every single piece of clothing I own.
  • not my color . . . gone
  • doesnít fit quite right . . . gone
  • too big . . . gone
  • tired of it . . . gone
  • weird fabric . . . gone
  • worn out . . . gone
  • long sleeves . . . gone
  • out of style . . . gone
  • unflattering . . . gone

I got rid of 115 pieces of clothing from my closet. My closet may or may not still be full.

Some stuff went on my FB selling page for cheap. What doesnít sell is going to Goodwill later in the week.

I do love a good purge.

I am all about minimalizing my clothes. DH and I did the same thing. We also went through other areas of our house. It feels so good to get rid of things!

I am retired two years and continuing to purge my work clothes. My problem is that I love what I have, the clothes fit and there is nothing wrong with them other than I don't have the need for so many of that type of clothing anymore.

Another clothes horse like me, I see! Good for you. I don't really have to do it anymore, but my system for getting rid of clothing is:

1) Anything I haven't worn in a year, I probably won't start now
2) Secondly, what's left after #1 above, I'll see if I can still fit in it
3) I should have a pared down closet...probably down to 2-3 closests worth instead of 3-4, ha!

You are going to buy some new goodies, right?

Two black rash bags later my closet Wass cleaned! I did keep some favorites that didn't quite fit. If they don't fit in a year, they'll be gone!

Yes, my closet is still quite full!

Congratulations on weight loss...both from your body and your closet. I did that last year...pulled out ever single piece of clothing and was ruthless in dd ion making process.

Iíve now lost 23 pounds and there are maybe 3 tops I wished I saved.
