Clip to ScrapBook #1

We will be taking the KS State Assessments in the next few weeks. In the past we have had a "pep rally" to kick things off. This years theme is "Looking Fine in 2009". Do any other schools do something like this? I'm looking for more ideas to incorporate into ours.

We have logs that go home to be signed with a checklist: dinner, full night's rest, breakfast, etc. The parents sign off and then the students are entered into drawings for big prizes like ipods, mp3s, bikes, etc. I am in a small town and the community really gets behind the students. We also ask the students to dress their best. "When you feel good, you do well."
