I remembered MAsped's posting of prisoners being released in CA. This wasn't in CA but it could happen accross the country with early release of violent offenders.

Horrible. She may not have been killed by him had he not been released early. And regarding the COVID concern amongist inmates which is why they're releasing them early, I say keep them contained there so as not to spread it amongst the public. We know inmates aren't concerned about the public's well being by spreading COVID to innocent people.

I read about that earlier today. How horrible. I donít understand releasing anyone early who is accused of a violent crime.

Not that simple. Staff becomes infected and brings it home to their families.

I do think a lot of drug convicted prisoners could be safely released. Many of them are in federal prisons for crimes that are not even illegal acording to the state.

There are also a large number of people waiting to see if they will be deported. They have not been convicted of any crimes. Let these people out and it will lessen the crowding for those who need to be locked up.
