1. What is your favorite thing about winter? the quiet peacefulness of it, there is something about this time when nature rests that is comforting

I’m a cat person and haven’t been without a cat for the past 40 years.
Back in the 70’s and 80’s when business people had huge expense accounts my ex-husband a I dined frequently in many expensive restaurants. It was fun but I am just as happy eating in a few small local restaurants these days.

Yes. Boy worked at one of the chi chi la la restaurants in Vancouver and we went there twice. The second time was for my birthday and the restaurant comped us the dinner. When the bill came and all that was on it was the cost of the 2 glasses of wine, we called our waiter over to question it, he said kindly, "we look after our own". We gave a HUGE tip.

It's a toss up between what I call Not Your Mother's Chicken Salad or Roasted Squash and cheese.

Not much anymore! I used to like it when I used to ski. Now I’m disliking the freezing temperatures more and more.

A dog might be healthier for me: I will have no choice but to get out and exercise my dog while a cat will provide a huge incentive toward inactivity.

Most expensive was a place that had $60-75 steaks and the entire bill was around $200 for 2 but we were only there because DH was friends with the chef and the entire thing was comped. We're not gourmet eaters and it seems like a waste to spend lots of money on food we don't enjoy any more than less expensive foods.

Like both, have both. The dogs we have will probably be our last ones, however. Dogs are so much more needy. Our cat we can leave for a long weekend and she is just fine. Our dogs--not so much.
