I just got my new zenergy chime in the mail today! I ordered it from Amazon for only $8 plus shipping and it is very nice. I'm driving my dog crazy because I'm running around the house ringing it.

Haha, I got mine earlier this summer from Amazon too!! I was so excited and my dog went nuts just like yours. She doesnt like it as much as me apparently! I haven't decided yet if I'm going to use it for a quiet signal or for transitions. Hmm...

Tell me more!!! How loud is it? We have an "open concept" building, so other classes are exposed to the noises from my room. Is it softer than a bell?
What are you going to use it for?

I'm going to use mine as the signal for students to stop, look, and listen. I think it would be less distracting to other classes than a bell. You can make it sound louder or softer depending on how hard you hit it.

I use a rainstick! The k teacher next door uses a chime. When I first started, I too tried the chime but the kids would get confused because you could here both chimes.
