How are you getting through these next couple of weeks before winter break?

Here's what I'm going to *try* to do.

-Take the moments I can to relax (no rushing around at lunch, etc)
-Remind myself that it's not me; that it's the kids who are hyped up and while I can do my best to manage it, teachers all over have hyper classes right now.
-Might fit in a massage somewhere.
-I'm working towards trying to be better about getting a good amount of sleep and eat healthy.

I think those are great ideas. I am also trying to slow down and not rush. Like this morning taking a moment to drink my coffee and check to see what is happening with all the other teachers out there. Glad you are taking care of yourself.

Drinking extra water helps. The heat is on now and those systems are so drying. Plus we get busy and don't drink enough water. I know it is a bladder/bathroom issue for most of us.

My heart goes out to the local elementary school teachers. The building had a hot water pipe break over the weekend so no school today added to the two days they were out last week for snow.

Wondering how bad it damaged classrooms. Parents are no doubt upset this is a working class neighbor hood and the school houses a large after-school program.

I took a week off from school to go with my dh on a business trip to Puerto Rico.

I didnít expect it to be quite this warm. Today is raining but I walked for almost 2 hours this morning and watched some surfers. Sat in hot tub for longer than a person should, but it did rain on me and the tub wasnít as hot as yesterday.

I highly suggest an off holiday retreat. Right before the busy season. Balcony on the top floor over looking the ocean. I am in heaven.

Laughter. I'm trying to enjoy my babies. Laugh with them. Play with them. And enjoy the crazy holiday activities with them.
