Cat names

I need help coming up with a name for a black and white male cat (it doesn't have to be related to the color though). My other two cats are girls and I am having the hardest time coming up with boy names. I like human names and cat names. I have a couple in mind and have looked around online, but nothing is jumping out at me. What are your suggestions?

If you want to name him after a cat in the news, you could name him Larry. Larry is a resident at 10 Downing Street, London.

(Obviously, I have spent way too much time this week on the internet.)

He is so sweet! He looks like an Oliver to me!

Other names - Charlie (as in Charlie Chaplin), Houdini or Elvis. Maybe Jem?

I have a female black and white kitty whose name is Willow.

Have fun with this little sweetie!

What a cutie! My first thought is Whiskers because his are very handsome. Then Samuel comes to mind and you could call him Sam or Sammy as well. To go with his colors I would say Oreo, Domino, Shamu or Charlie Chaplin.

He has a little bit of a Mandy Patinkin look to me! Mandy, Gideon, or Jason could be some great names. You could even go with Inigo Montoya from the Princess Bride movie.
I also like Maximilian. You could shorten it to Max. We had a cat named Mad Max once 😂.

To me he looks like an older, British gentleman. So Patrick, Wellington or Wellie for short, Nevelle, Charles, etc. But I do love Oliver too. Oooh Olivander for Harry Potter.

for a male tuxedo cat would be just "Sir."

I think it has an ironic flair (maybe even sarcastic tone...)

If you like human names, I have a coworker who thinks Kevin is the best cat name ever

I had a black and white cat named Figaro growing up.

Girl two years ago, I googled pet names and an alphabetical list popped up. There were hundreds to choose from.

That’s how I named my Aja! 🥰❤️😻

You guys are great! I had some of the same ideas, but you guys came up with some I hadn't thought of.

Quote:

Oliver (called Ollie) was the first name I thought of when I saw him. It goes with my others cats names. My other thought was Domino.

Now I also like Milo, Winston (but my friend has a dog named this so I probably won't use it), Spencer, Charlie, and some of the British names are cute too. I guess I'll have to wait and see what name fits him. He's too little to be fixed yet so I'll get him as soon as that happens .

I also thought of Mittens when I saw this pic. I think names like Kevin, Bobby, and Adam are great for cats!

Because he is a tuxedo, that was the first name I thought of. Of course others beat me to it.

My tuxedo, who is usually glued to my side, like right now, is named Orion O'Five. His first name is from a beautiful folk song "Bold Orion" which is something he's not. His middle name is the year I was lucky enough to bring him home. My other cats are named after songs or favorite characters. In fact my next cat to join us will be either Arya or Tyrion.

I can't get over how curly your little one's whiskers are!

black and white kitty
Old 06-06-2019, 06:11 PM

I named my black and white kitten Scooter because he was a very active kitten. He mellowed out in his later years and liked to cuddle when I was on the keyboard. It's very hard to type when you have a big cat laying on one arm.

Black and white kitties are among my favorite.

His whiskers look like a big, bushy mustache so all these names are related to that: Groucho, Yosemite Sam, Teddy (as in Theodore Roosevelt), Magnum (as in Magnum P.I.). or Wilford (as in Wilford Brimley.)

I didn’t read the other responses, but you could call him Oreo since he is black and white.

Names of male cats we have and have had over the years are Guiseppe, Mozart, Wolfgang, Shorty, Eddie, Finley, and Clarence.
