DH went to Sam's today. He came home with gallons of lemonade, apple juice, a bunch of sweet tea, toaster strudels, pop-tarts, chips, cookies...and that's just what I saw as I walked through the kitchen. And these are all giant packages from Sam's. What was he thinking? I can't begin to comprehend how much sugar that all contains. And how much of it he is going to feed to our children.
Now I have to come up with a plan to keep it away from the kids. How much can I sneak into the trash each day without him noticing? Donate this crap somewhere? I can't believe he bought all that. He's in a great mood, though! Apparently wasting a ton of money on junk makes him happy

Ooh! Toaster Strudel! Return the rest. And send me the toaster strudel. I had a brief love affair with those shortly after graduating college

Somebody shouldn’t shop hungry....

If you can return at least some of it, donate it to a local soup kitchen.

Package it in smaller portions and freeze it. We spent over $400 at Costco, and I spent the afternoon dividing out stuff into smaller portions for the deep freeze. Yes, it included some junk food.

My DH does the same thing, with the addition of more frozen food than we can fit into two freezers! I guess the packaging works on men like it works on kids.....
