I retired last May, I have so enjoyed my first months. I don't remember the first grass turning green or the first birds returning to sing. I must have been in a fog for 33 years!
This retired life is wonderful!

I feel exactly the same. I keep calling this year my first fall, my first winter, and now my first spring. I'm in awe!

I found myself driving under the speed limit as I looked around during the day at all I had missed while working! Retirement never gets old!

I spent about 10 minutes watching a robin hop around the yard yesterday. Cute little things. I'm also beginning to get gardening fever.

I could have written your post

I found it very hard to relax for at least the last 10 years of my teaching career. Now, I just take leisurely walks and sit on my back porch just watching the mallards swim by.

I am loving spring like never before.

Everything takes on a whole new meaning when you are retired! You can finally take time to enjoy the little things again!

Isn't that the truth! I sit on the front porch swing and look at the paper with a cup of tea -- some mornings --- and then hang out in the back garden, sipping tea or a glass of wine and watching the sky change.

Loving it!
