Teachers start at 7:30 and students start at 8. Last year we were on a different schedule due to construction and we started at 8 with students starting at 8:40. I was excited for the later start but honestly I noticed no difference in either myself or the students. Our after school stuff also got out so late. I do tutoring and on last year's schedule it went until 5; now it's 4:15. Even though it's just 45 minutes I feel like I get so much of my day back! I wasn't productive with the extra time in the morning at all; I'm not a morning person.

Retired now, but I taught in a special public HS program. When I took the job, starting time was 12:00! That changed to 11:00 and when I retired 2 years ago, our starting time was 10:00! I LOVED those hours!

Our district when I taught was elementary 7:55-2:35. Kids could start arriving at 7:30, which was also start time for teachers. Teachers had to stay til 2:50 except once a week was 4:00.

High school and middle school started more like 9, but I am not sure precise hours.

School where we are now are K-12 and bus picks up at 7:30 and school starts at 8. I think it ends at 3? Except once a week it gets out an hour early. Mine aren't in it yet, so not precisely sure.

School last year was 7:55-2:55 for the K-12 school.

Teachers have to be at school at 7:30. Students can also begin entering classrooms at 7:30. The bell officially rings at 8:00 and we are to start teaching at 8:15.

My elementary school starts at 8:20 with the kids. Next year we are flipping schedules so that Elementary starts first at 8 a.m. and then middle school and then High School. Not sure it's going to work well with bussing.

My district's contract hours are 7:15-2:26. On Thursday our hours are 7:15-3:30. All over meetings must happen in the morning because our preps are protected.

8:45 is our first bell, but most students are there way before then. We also have the opposite problem with a small handful not arriving until 9. I officially begin class at 9:10 so they all can be settled in.
We leave at four.
I do not like these hours and would prefer an earlier start and release time.
