Does anyone have a vocabulary curriculum for grades 3 through 5 that they love?

I teach in a low-income, high poverty school, and vocabulary has always been one of our weaknesses. My entire school is using the program Wordly Wise this year (Kindergarten-5th grade). I teach 3rd grade and have really liked it so far. We spend 2 weeks on each lesson (10 words per lesson). There is a workbook and an online component as well. It's user friendly and easy to follow.

We have vocabulary in our curriculum. We do many activities with our reading texts and novels. My school also uses Vocabulary Workshop workbooks in grades 3-6. They are published by Sadlier Oxford. We use them a few times a week to improve vocabulary. We also use Flocabulary.

I donít know of one, but here is something to avoid: donít let anyone try to sell you on Words Their Way being a phonics or vocabulary program. It is not. To me, it was more of a word recognition, somewhat spelling program.

Also very boring and time consuming, IMO. So glad they didn't implement it until after I retired. It only lasted several years.
