Thank you to everyone who responded when I asked about getting a normal Chromebook vs a Chromebook/tablet.

I was able to get a good deal on a regular Chromebook last week. It's so nice to type this on a computer and not on my phone.

My printer doesn't work with this Chromebook, probably because the printer is so old. It has always been finicky and never worked well at all, so I want to get a new printer.

I would use it infrequently, mostly for things like printing taxes or the occasional form or return label. So I'd probably only need to print fewer than 4 pages a month. (The reason I'm bothering to have a printer at all is because it is so worth having when I do need to print.) I print anything school-related at school.

So I am looking for a cheap but very functional and reliable printer. If it can also make copies that would be preferred but not necessary. I don't need the best deal on ink costs since I print so little.

Acer 315. It was $178 at Wal-Mart. I hadn't seen anything new for below $200 online. It is large--has a 15.6 inch screen.

I've been pleased with it so far.

I have an HP printer. It is awesome. Over the years, I have found that HP is a workhorse brand. My X had an HP laptop he was really rough on as well as several HP printers for his business.

I've had an HP envy for quite a few years and have been happy with it. It's an instant ink printer, which is the best thing ever!
